Carcanet Press, one of the foremost poetry publishers in the UK, publishes PN Review: a literary/poetry magazine dedicated to new writing under the editorship of Michael Schmidt.

 

 

Bloodaxe Books is another major UK poetry publishers, like Carcanet Press, their website is well worth visiting regularly.

Heat is published by Giramondo Publishing under the editorial direction of Ivor Indyk. Giramondo is one of Australia’s most diverse and interesting small presses.

 

 

Fellowships & Funding

 

Inaugurated in 2004 The Redmond Barry 1854 Fellowship is awarded annually by The University of Melbourne in conjunction with The State Library of Victoria, it consisted of a stipend, a furnished office, and access to the library facilities of both institutions. Olivier Burckhardt was awarded the Fellowship in 2005 to undertake research on Poetics East of West (formerly Pencilled Lines on Poetry).

 

 

 

 

 

The Literature Board of Australia Council For The Arts, manages various grants and support for literature, their website also offers some useful information, including a list of supported literary magazines in Australia.
